[ Another D-A-Y ]

When I was in kindergarten, for only about a month before I moved and changed schools, my teacher would stand at the calendar every morning, pointing to the day and we would all say it out loud (Monday, Tuesday ect.)  Then without fail every morning this girl in my class would follow up the day of the week by saying, “another d-a-y” clearly proud of her ability to spell, and the fact that there was always another day.  I have oftentimes found myself randomly hearing her voice in my head, throughout life.  It is absolutely crazy to me how I can’t remember precisely what I was doing last week at this time, or half of what happened a month ago, and how so much gets lost in the noise over the years.. but I will never be able to forget “Another D-A-Y” probably as long as I live.  So here’s to the miraculous mind, and another day 😉

Sunday at Barnes and Noble

Soulmate Sundays are theeee best!  Saturday night we went and saw Beautiful Creatures which was insanely fabulous.. best movie either of us had seen in the longest time.  It just had everything: humor, romance, action, wisdom, good quotes,  great music, excellent actors, interesting story line.. we were in awe when it ended.  In the movie the main characters quote Charles Bukowski repeatedly.  We were so intrigued we just had to go to Barnes and Noble the next day to browse his stuff. ♥

Three things.

[ 1 ]     I am not sure how I would make it through this crazy circus-sideshow of a life without humor, my amazing friends and the occasional becomingmoreanecessitybytheday cocktail.

There are those who tear you apart and there are those who put you back together again, and even a special few who literally will stand in between you and the person throwing the eggs.  Some have been around for a long time and you can take a sincere comfort in their understanding before you have to explain anything.  There are also those who surprise you and seem to pop up in the nick of time.  I am so thankful for every different kind of friend I am lucky enough to have, no measurable dollar amount could be placed on any of them.

[ 2 ]     If you don’t watch Nashville you should, as soon as possible.  Only one season has happened so far, or maybe it was only a half of a season, regardless, it isn’t very much you can catch up quickly.  I want a man like Deacon, emphasis on the man. 😉  Real emotion, real trials, real honesty, isn’t afraid to stand up and fight when need be.  Also the rugged, handsome and southern doesn’t hurt either.

[ 3 ]     I discovered the best quote on Pinterest via my good high school friend: Allison.  After reading it I literally let out a sigh of relief, as happens when you find one of those quotes which finally seems to put into complete words what your deepest swirling thoughts have always been.  It is truly a moment of magic.  *Drum roll please….*

Highlighting my hilarious sister.

She just started a blog recently, and she sent me this story that she said she couldn’t blog, I told her she must because although it is sad she has the best humor of anyone I know and I was laughing throughout the whole thing.  Enjoy and follow her, I assure you it will just keep getting better and better!

Some days there just aren’t enough cysts..

Creature love.

Meet Bentley.  He is a Llewellyn English Setter.  He is as lovable as a human being, probably more so.  He likes to squish himself into tight spaces; like the couch and the ottoman.  He sees people give hugs, so he gives them too.  His bark changes from normal to a high-pitched frantic squeal when he recognizes one of his people.  Sometimes his head hairs stand up like a silly mo-hawk all on their own.  Swimming is his favorite past-time, with others or alone.  He will let you know he is ready to play toy by carrying it over and bumping you with it.  Mom can’t complete most of her chores such as pool-cleaning without his careful assistance.  He gets really sad when Dad wheels out his luggage to leave for the week.  He is missing a few marbles, has been known to make the same mistakes over and over again (he really promises he will never run out of the gate or pee on our car tires EVER again) but how could you not love a sweet angel baby like him.
